A branded content agency that works like a studio

Athena Films is an Emmy winning studio in New York City. We make branded content people actually finish watching: brand based TV shows, creator led series and short form video, developed, produced and finished by one standing team.

Agency thinking, studio hands

The usual split is an agency that writes the idea and a production company that shoots someone else's version of it. We keep both in one room, so the format written on day one is the format that survives to the master.

That shortens the distance between a strategy deck and something watchable, and it removes the moment where craft gets negotiated away.

Content a brand owns

Media buys rent attention for as long as the money lasts. A show accumulates it. Every episode adds to a library that keeps surfacing in recommendations and search long after the flight ends.

We build for that: titles that read at thumbnail size, formats that repeat, and a delivery package that gives paid, organic and sales teams something to use from the same shoot.

How we help

  • Format development

Show ideas, hooks, packaging and season structure, written for the platform the audience is actually on.

  • Branded series production

Documentary style production on location, lean crews, real places and real people.

  • Creator and talent casting

Hosts and creators cast to fit a format, or formats built around a roster a brand already works with.

  • In house finishing

Edit, colour, sound design and mix under one roof, delivered to every spec you need.

Questions we get

What does a branded content agency do?

It makes content a brand publishes rather than advertising a brand buys: series, films and formats where the audience chooses to watch. We do that as a studio, so strategy, production and finishing sit in one team.

How is branded content different from an ad?

An ad interrupts something the viewer wanted. Branded content is the thing the viewer wanted. That means the format has to be good enough to stand on its own before the brand is anywhere near the frame.

Do you handle strategy or only production?

Both. Most projects start with what the show should be and who it is for, then move straight into production with the same people. Nothing is handed off at the finish line.

What budgets do you work with?

It depends on the format and the number of episodes. Tell us the range you are working inside and we will design a season that fits it rather than quoting a shape you did not ask for.

Who owns the content?

Usually the brand, with full usage of the footage for paid. Ownership and usage are agreed before production starts.
